2. When and what are cookies used for?

The Website uses cookies in its internal operating processes. These cookies allow the control of the browsing data of the User in order to make any communications after the User’s initial access to the Website quicker and more convenient. Under no circumstances will cookies be used to control the access or browsing of the Website by the User for the purpose of analysing his/her browsing or access habits or obtaining any type of personal information. No profile analysis is performed.

Specifically, the Website uses cookies to identify the registered User (authentication and identification cookies), who has contracted the provision of some service by Possession Football. The latter are persistent cookies and are not cancelled unless the User decides to delete them.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the User may withdraw the consent initially given, as well as exercise the rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation of data processing and portability, by sending an e-mail to info@possessionfootball.com.

5. Types of cookies used on the Possession Football Website and Application

In accordance with the above, the Website uses cookies to facilitate and optimise the User’s browsing, as well as to authenticate or identify the User when accessing the contracted services. In particular, the following are used:

5.1. Own cookies

  • Session Cookies or Moodle Session:
As a Possession Football Website User, you must accept this cookie to allow the service to continue to function. They are strictly necessary to make it easier for you to navigate our Website, as well as to ensure that the content is efficiently uploaded to your device. As soon as you close your browser the cookie will be destroyed (in your browser and on the server).
  • Identification Cookies or Moodle Id:
This cookie is limited to remembering your User or Log-in data within the Application. This means that, when you access the Application again, if you accept this cookie, you will be recognised as a User and your name will be automatically typed in the “User ID” field; however, if you want a higher level of security you will not be able to use this option: you will have to type your name manually each time you want to log in.
  • Analysis Cookies:
We use this type of cookie to analyse your behaviour and your activity on our Website or Application (the services you use most, the language, when do you use them, etc.) for the purpose of creating browsing profiles and statistics that we use to improve the service we offer you.
  • Personalisation Cookies:
We use these cookies to personalise your browsing based on your interests and behaviour on the Website or the Application, in order to offer or suggest services more efficiently and according to your preferences.

5.2. Third-party Cookies

Please note that browsing through the Website may lead to the User being offered a link to another website or to a social networking application or website. The following is an example of the entities other than Possession Football that use cookies on the Website, as well as their purposes:

  • Social Network Cookies:
These cookies are used for the User to share content on social networks, (specifically: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Google +) or for the User to access the Possession Football profile on the aforementioned social networks, in such a way that the data provided by Users on these types of social platforms can be used to fill in the registration or access fields directly.
  • Advertising Cookies:
These cookies are used with the purpose of displaying “personalised” advertising for the individual user of third-party Websites in which the User may have an interest in having visited them previously.
  • Cookies for measuring traffic on Internet portals:
The owner of these portals uses Google Analytics cookies to compile statistical data on the activity of users on the website in question, and thereby be able to improve the services provided to users. These cookies allow user traffic to be analysed by generating an anonymous user ID that is used to measure how many times a Website is visited by a particular user. It also records you first and last visit of the website, when a log-in session has ended, and the territorial origin of the user (geolocation).

6. Deactivating or Deleting Cookies

If you do not want to receive cookies, you can change your browser settings through your device. If you access and browse the Website without changing your browser settings, Possession Football will assume that you consent to and wish to receive cookies from the Website. You will also have the option to review and delete cookies.

However, the User must be aware that the deactivation of certain cookies slows down communication between Possession Football and the User, and leads to the need for the User to process his/her request for the provision of services again, or the impossibility of providing some or certain services contracted through the Website.

Possession Football is not responsible for the fact that some browsers may prevent or hinder the deactivation or deletion of cookies. The user shall confirm with the manufacturer or supplier of such Internet browser that it has the corresponding functionality and that it explains how to achieve such deactivation or deletion.
